Welcome Chris,

Where about in the low countries are you? If you update your profile with an approximate location I'll add you to our members map.

One of my very earliest projects was a dining table. Had no workshop (built it on top of the old table) and bugger all tools (circular saw, 2 hand planes and a drill) at the time. I sat looking at the oak boards for at least 6 months before I got started. 21 years later it is still, nearly, as good as new.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers
Andy

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the welcome and advice on location, will get that updated.

I am at the very early stages just got Makita drill set and circular saw, also no workshop as yet. Planning to make dining table out of a big length slice of tree, just deciding what wood to go for. Look forward to posting pictures and learning new skills.

Cheers Chris

Hey dude

Welcome aboard! Plenty of knowledgeable boys and girls here who can help you along the path. And you'll find a kindred engineer spirit in Bob 9fingers!

And RogerS is a massive plane nerd so telling him you used to build RR jet engines will get him all excited...

;)

Cheers
