Hello from St. Albans!

Postby memzey » 02 Jun 2016, 21:44

Hi everyone.

I'm a clueless but enthusiastic amateur living in St. Albans. I post on UKW and thought I'd see what this place was like as well. I think I was a member on the original site but doubt I posted much. I see a lot of familiar names here which is comforting. Does Scrit post here by any chance as I think he went to the old wood haven after leaving UKW?

Hi Memzey and a warm welcome from me. No-one has heard anything from Scrit for several years now.

HELLO !!!

sorry to shout , but St Albans is far away !

Scrit just disappeared ages ago
rumour has it he was still working with some kind of historic machine type info .. but no longer actively public
which is a huge loss for all of us !

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone and thank you for having me. It seems a nice place to hang out here and I look forward to getting involved. You might wish you hadn't let me in before long! If anyone is going to Richard Arnold's Macmillan do tomorrow I'll see you there. You won't be able to miss me I'm the big oaf!

Now, off to start a sharpening thread....

Thanks everyone. Definitely a friendly place here! It would be nice to meet up with some members that are local to me if any are on this board?
