Hello i'm James

Postby mightyjcb » 21 Aug 2017, 17:11

Hello,
My name is James, i live in Sussex, i'm 32 and work in IT. I semi unknowingly dropped myself in the deep end in terms of my DIY skills when we bought our first (and present house). This is where my appreciation for being more hands on really started.
I have a (never ending) project car, a few mountain bikes which i enjoy and love a good beer.
I'm currently building a shed, which incidentally is how i found this forum, and hope to use it as a space to facilitate the car work, bike maintenance and beer brewing.

Learnt a fair bit reading through this forum, so thought i'd join, say hello and ask for advice!
By the way....I had to google the answer to the forum human check question!

Cheers
James

Welcome James

Sorry about the questions, I had to make them hard enough to not be too obvious as we went through a spate early on of me having to get rid of 50+ spam accounts per DAY!!!

After that I figured anyone who really wanted to come in would either know, or find out, so you've passed test one and we now know you have good Googling skills! :obscene-drinkingcheers:

Cheers

Same as me when I started mate, and look at me now. Helping run this forum, have learned absolutely loads of great stuff from people here, and when I finish my biblically long workshop build (just getting in there before Andy does!!! ) then I might actually get to put some of it to use...!

Hi James. I also work in IT (sort of) and we won't hold it against you.
Good luck with the build. I am looking forward to the photos. I am mid way through mine and the help from here has been amazing.

Thanks Dave. I do occasionally use Strava, but mostly to track where i've been in the Surrey hills. I can definitely see its benefits.
