When you retire some folk go on cruises. I choose to build a decent workshop. This will keep me occupied on my wood and metal sculptures and pieces of art and provide a craft hub for the creative, local ladies.
Doing up 8 house, fitting 4 new kitchens, preparing and concreting large drive are some of my DIY projects, so, although not green, i still have a lot to learn. I am up for a challenge, research and take advice and enjoy problem solving.
Mistakes have been made and learnt from but I do my best. Posting on here gives me the opportunity to mix with like minded people. My son and daughter do not get it. Concrete is not their favourite topic.
Position of workshop...bottom of the garden, slight slope, shaded partly by neighbours large leylandies (which are going to be cut cut down). Kept dimensions outside of the need for planning permission.
14ft 6inch x 9ft base
Three inch Concrete base in three sections. Two outer sections then centre one. On hardcore. Strength and stamina dictates work. Summer 2017.
