Hi all, I've been reading through the wealth of workshop build threads on here for a while now. Finally got all of our house jobs done, so its time to concentrate on replacing my old shed with a workshop ;) . I've got a design fully modelled in Sketchup based on the classic Mike's way so once I can post pictures I'll be looking for some opinions/reassurances that it all makes sense and wont blow away in the wind!

Welcome from deepest Mid-Devon.

I started mine a couple of years ago and am now on to Phase 2!

It's worth it; it's the best forum online for advice, support and encouragement.

Ooooh goodie........another workshop build! :)

Welcome James. I have to tell you it gives me great satisfaction to know that there are scores of decent workshops around the world because of me sitting typing on a small woodworking forum.

Thanks guys. And thanks Mike for posting your designs online. It’s a big help to have something that is in some way a ‘uk standard’ - in that it’s buildable with materials available to get hold of in the uk. The internet is a wealth of info, but so much of what I first came across was US based. Which is all great to read or watch, but when it comes to actually designing something I can build myself from local products you’re almost back to square one.

Welcome James
Mike G s designs are easy to follow and of course he is here to answer your questions and then you have the support and advice of others here who can also answer questions and provide support to help with the wobbles should you get any.
I am also looking forward to seeing your build.
