Thanks for the welcome everyone! Okay, now my machine is sorted - I bought the CarbaTec for fine work, I also have a Record DML 24 for more general use. I'm a keen experienced woodworker but now want to delve into the Black Art of turning, so any useful tips would be much appreciated.

Hi and welcome from occasionally sunny Northumberland.

I'm an intermittent woodturner, mostly small stuff and pens which can be a bit of a slippery slope. The Carbatec is a nice little lathe
I have a degree in faffing about (It must be true, my wife says so)
