HI,

Timber Suppliers on a map seems a very sensible suggestion particularly if it links to a website with any specialism details.

I'm pretty certain that many members would find this useful and would welcome you starting off a map with your favoured suppliers and others can chip in.
Its what forums like this are all about.

I agree.

I subscribe to a couple of YT channels and I look at some of the timber they're using and ask myself "Where I can I buy that quality round here?"

I saw some of Pinch's work on this forum and I believe he did mention his supplier, but I can't find it.

Can some kind cartographically gifted moderator please shift me from Belschaft, Norn Iron...to NE66 please. That’s East Alnwick town in plain Henglish.

Thank you, Sam.

Done Sam.

When I put NE66 into the map it stuck in you in Alnwick Hospital! I moved you a few hundred yards north. :)

your are added to the map. First 3 digits is normally enough to give people an idea of where you live without be too specific for security reasons.

Dear Andy

What a great idea! To find people interest in the same woodworking "universe" that also live nearby wouldn't be so easy without this facility!

Could you please add me to your map?

Kind regards
Simon

Welcome to the quieter forum Droogs!

No1 Child lives just off Leith Walk, so I know your part of the world reasonably well.

On a public forum probably just as well if we restrict postcodes to the first 3 digits. It is enough for people to know if you are close enough for a cuppa.

Our two newest Scots members are now added to the Map.
