Robert, thanks for the welcome.
I have pretty much given up conventional photography now (although I still take the odd digital snappys), I have converted my Darkroom into a Dimroom (alternative photography process room) and I mainly just do Carbon Transfer Printing now, this is typically contact printing using home made carbon sensitised paper (called tissues) from 5"x7" monochromatic film using a large format camera (strangely enough in a LF world of wooden field cameras, mine is made of space age alloys). I have not put a film though my Leica for about a year now, although I suspect I will still keep/use it off and on.
I have always been into both photography and woodworking although the woodworking took a bit of a back seat for a few years when I put on a lot of weight (>30 stone), but having had a couple of health scares and now down to a much more acceptable weight (16.5 stone) my interest in working with wood and tools has been rekindled, and whilst previously all of my projects were made totally with power tools in one form or another, I have now found an appreciation of hand tools and techniques and am enjoying both buying them and learning how to use them (the internet is particularly useful for this).
Looking forward to getting involved in this forum and hope to use any info gained to improve my knowledge and skills, and if I can help others during my time on here all the better.
