Thanks Mike - your guide (UKW) was invaluable.
The original slab was laid right up against a Devon hedge bank so I wanted to raise the DPC level so the far right back corner was out of the mud. I still need to sort out the step
. The floor is floating on top of 100mm Kingspan with 18mm chipboard flooring and then the laminate flooring reclaimed from the front room
We have sawmills within a few miles so all the treated wood came from just down the road and was fantastic quality/price. The door was a bargain at £10 from our local recycling plant
The lasers are capable of cutting up to 6mm ply (albeit slowly), 4mm MDF, card, Perspex etc. but not metal. They also engrave. I get some fascinating jobs from simple signs to shop displays.
I have another cabin further up the garden which will be the woodworking space (dust and lasers do not mix well
).
Cheers
Dave
