Hello

Postby nfcm » 21 Nov 2014, 19:13

Hi everyone, David here, based in the New Forest. I've been into woodworking since I could get into my dad's workshop with him about 50 years ago. Always eager to learn, especially finishing techniques. Small workshop (ex single garage) with table saw, bandsaw, thicknesser, (small) surface planer, lots of power and hand tools. Sadly I have an incurable addiction - buying tools then making something to use them.

One of my favourite tables: https://www.flickr.com/photos/deedubu/6812267143/

I'll post more pics shortly

Hi David and welcome aboard.

Apologies for the delay in approving your account. I get so many spam accounts that because yours wasn't a proper name I missed it.

Hi David and welcome from me too.

Lovely table. The Ash and walnut work very well. Is the drawer made from walnut too, it looks very dark.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

Hi Andy - yes, it's walnut too, with an ash bottom.

Hi Bob

Thanks, maybe I'll pop over and see your workshops one day - I read the post about avoiding your freezer and cellar :-)

I'm not sure where the freezer and cellar bit came from or what Mike had been smoking when he wrote that bit. I've met Mike once or maybe twice but he never been to my place - I don't even have a cellar - sadly!
