Hello One and All

Postby pb427pete » 30 Jan 2015, 16:06

Hi everyone,
Just thought I would say hello, I'm Pete from Macclesfield and although i have always made (bodged) things with wood as needed, i would say i'm fairly new ( a year or so) to actual woodworking.
As I have progressed i have moved away from power tools and so far i'm loving working with my hand tools. I think there is something more satisfying working wood rather than just processing it.

I have several small projects to complete at the moment, some my choice, some not!! In the near future they will be: a couple of stools, a radiator cover and several boxes to store differing bits, a nest of three tables and a new chopping board! So no massive workshop or house extensions from me just yet!

Anyway this is my hello to you all and looking forward to being enlightened by you all on each and every one of my projects and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Regards
Pete

Hello Pete and welcome

Another local lad, excellent! What with Stephen in Frodsham and you in Macc I'm building up a decent local contacts list to help me with the heavy lifting when it comes to getting my workshop build under way!

Look forward to seeing some of your projects, and the key phrase is, we like photo's, no photo's and it never happened! ;)

Cheers

Looking at the members map it does look a bit thin up north!! Glad to add to the numbers and Mark you will be delighted to know that people often say i'm not clever but I can lift heavy weights, so when it comes to lumping stuff around i'm happy to lend some brute force!!

So all that is left to pass is the secret indoctrination ceremony.

if you would like to be added to the Member's Map you will need to add you location (nearest town/village or 1st 3 digits of postcode) to user profile and drop me a reminder in he Members Map thread.

Of course you could just be pretending to be from up north in order to get sympathy from the rest of us. :D
