New Timber Mill

Postby Rod » 17 Sep 2019, 14:33

Followers of the Tally Ho videos on Utube will have seen the home made milling machine they’ve rigged up to flatten the large pieces of Southern Oak.
Now Woodpeckers are offering a milling kit for £480.

PS For non followers, in the latest video they off loaded $25k of wide and very long boards. What a beautiful sight

The fundamental difference is that Leo's set up uses a huge electric plane, not a router.

You don't need to fork out that amount of wonga for a mill like that; pretty straight forward to make one from decent pine and ply. Buying good pine from my local 'el cheapo' source in town means that I could quite easily make one and get some change out of £40 at most - Rob
