using a saw set to creat 1.5mm kerf

Postby Andyp » 30 Jun 2015, 08:17

Would it be possible to use a saw set on a tenon saw to create a 1.5mm kerf?
I do not think therefore I do not am.

It should be but you might need to play around a bit to get it right. Your bigger problem will be not making the kerf wider by sloppy sawing action.

What you trying to do?

Mark, see here

I have 1.5mm veneers that will require a 1.5mm kerf in order to produce those celtic knots.

If I can't get a circular saw blade to do the job then perhaps by hand.

As for holding the saw steady I'll use a mitre guide of some sort.
