Was just wondering what preferances people had for timber for formwork with regrads to dimensions etc and would you use PAR?

I tend to use 18mm ply - a cheap grade or even OSB. Pegs cut from sawn or par softwood.

It depends what you're casting. If casting a slab, I use 6x2 sawn timber, or 4x1 if it is just a small shed. There are always plenty of uses for the timber afterwards, usually in the building that goes on the slab, but also around the garden.
