Period Country Furniture Book

Postby meccarroll » 23 Nov 2016, 20:03

Hi all I am having a bit of a clear out and have a Book called:

The Construction of Period Country Furniture By V. J. TAYLOR.

It's in excellent condition apart from a crease on the front cover seen in picture.

I have quite a few similar books so have no needed to use it. It's in pretty much the same condition as when I bought it. If anyone is interested in it, postage is about £3 and the book is free.

If you live local and can collect then it would be my pleasure to see someone on here use it (NO CHARGE) just trying to make some space.

For others interested in this book, there are plenty available on Amazon UK for 1p plus £2.80 P&P. I've just bought one.

Postage was about £3 for me to send without the packing and haste of driving to a drop off station. Not heard anything today so maybe he has purchased one from Amazon for £2.81 and who can blame him :)

Charity shop next time :D

Mark, I wasn't trying to 'undercut' you!

I would have gladly bought it from you but it appeared there were others in the queue before me, so saw no point in contacting you. After a search I found it on Amazon and thought I'd share my find with others who had missed out on your copy.

Pete I am a carpenter and joiner :eusa-dance: not a book seller :eusa-hand: but I should not worry about it :D , to be honest you have probably done a few people on here a favour ;) . If had known this book could be had for £2.81 on Amazon :o I would not have bothered posting it up.

If you like this sort of book here is another (one of my collection :eusa-hand: ) and also available on Amazon for 1p plus £2.80 postage :D :

The book is very detailed and a nice read so well worth the £2.81 currently asked on Amazon. It's worth noting that the price on Amazon does fluctuate so what costs 1p one day may cost £5 the next then back to 1p. I don't know why this happens but it has occurred to me several times when I have purchased books, electrics etc before.

I have no idea how Amazon do it but I can only assume they make something on the postage :eusa-think:

No prob's Pete I think you made a :text-goodpost:

if the book will fit a large letter box (approx A4 and less than 25mm thick), then with ppi and average weight, it will cost 67p plus packaging to post ! .. that's how they do it :-)
