I remember there was a discussion about skirting and architraves a while back.
Here's an example from the hotel we are staying in at the moment - the very large house was built in 1871 by a local wealthy Mill Owner:

Nice photos Rod. The old Victorians certainly knew how to show off their skills - fabulous. 8-)
