Yes very clever. By cutting board you mean a kitchen chopping board? So is that the underneath?

yes, kitchen chopping board, and yes, this is the under side.

Although , I think a lot of people don't actually cut / chop on them.

I should think not. Is there a hook on the back, front?

That is amazing, Rich. Done on your CNC machine ? With a tiny cutter ? Laser ?

thanks Rog :)

this was the laser.
once the design is done and setup ready to cut, they take about 30 mins each.

chopping boards are approx £1.50 from ikea
I couldn't make them for that, so I don't !

These are the 1st batch, I'll tweak the various line widths etc. now I know what they cut like.

Why don't I see burn marks ?

because there aren't any !

I used a freshly sharpened laser beam :P

I was thinking that too [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

Nice job BTW

Have you tried laser cutting any veneers for marquetry work?

Thanks :)

Not tried marquetry yet, no ..

As for the burning , I'll get some time and make a proper reply ..

but my remark about using a sharp laser beam, is part of how it's done !
