Thought I’d “finish” this thread in case it’s if use to anyone. I contacted a number of suppliers for Douglas plywood and the price was compatible with birch at around £90-100 far too much for our planned usage.
Anyway I went back to the drawing board and landed on my feet! Travis Perkins sell a Selex structural plywood with brilliant grain pattern. Turns out there is a TP in the next little town to us I didn’t even realise it was there. Very helpful staff, lifted a pallet down from the top rack for me to see and gave me a very much better price. Ended up with 11 sheets at around £25 each.
Here’s the first panel going in, whole wall will be pegboard. Done using the parf guide, bought for this and also for workbench project.
