Sad News

Postby Philly » 12 Apr 2021, 15:01

Hi Folks
Not sure if you any of you knew Kieran Binnie, he went by the name" Over The Wireless" on social media and his blog. Sadly, he took his own life over the weekend.
He was a talented woodworker, amongst other skills, and will be sorely missed.

No I don't recognise the name but I always think the when people take their own life that we (society) have let them down in some way or other.

I've seen his blog now and again: https://overthewireless.com. High quality work going back over some years, but he very much took his time over projects so I just dipped in occasionally. Always sad when someone feels the need to end it all.
Don't like: wood, engines, electrickery, decorating, tiling, laying stone, plumbing, gardening or any kind of DIY. Not wild about spiders either.

I’d just searched and was about to post the same link. Talented indeed.
Always sad to hear circumstances such as that.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers

Very sad news indeed Philly. I didn't follow his blog (just had a squint at it) but it's terrible when somebody feels the need to take their own life - Rob

That is sad news we both had the same day job so I used to see him at work as well as woodworking events.
