How bizarre. You're on a PC IIRC, Bob. Need to wait to see what Andy sees.

Oh good grief, Dropbox is running like molasses in winter. So so slow. Think I'm going back to Flickr.

Wondered if it was my phone as I was shooting with it held vertically. But Bob sees it vertically. This next image was shot holding the phone horizontally.

All the photo's that are posted up using Dropbox are ridiculously slow to load. I don't like it! Delays the reading of a post to a level that it unacceptable to me, while the photo's keep loading and dropping the screen down.

Yes I'm with you 100%. I remember now why I stopped using it. I do like the automatic upload from my smartphone. That I will miss.

Yes that bench shot was the right way round both on PC and Iphone. Took over 5 minutes to load on either platform.

I forgot to mention I am using a Mac so all the windows are different. But thanks to Andyp I managed to work it out.

So this is how I did it.

Go into Drop Box and select a photo
ctrl and click on photo , this brings up a menu box
Select share dropbox link
In the top right hand of screen a box appears sharing image .......jpg
click on the box and a new window opens up copy and paste the ulr into your post and add the magic ?dl=1 and it pops up in your WH2 message box that you are writing in.
hit the preview and the picture should appear!

If any one is a Mac user and has a better way or can explain it/show it in a clearer format please do.

Thanks for your help guys Peter

Glad to see you got it working Peter. All My images were screen grabs from my Mac too. Full credit ought to go to Bob who found the magic characters.

Can't see any of your images Roger just a question mark in a blue box. I did not have to do any image rotating on the images I posted

No idea why that should be Mark. I do not see any delay on the image that Peter posted.

I had read the entirety of your reply including the quote before the picture turned up. This seems to be the best speed Drop box can offer. The other day it was 10s of minutes when roger was doing orientation tests.

I guess that there is nothing that we can do about that other than try to persuade users not to use Dropbox. But Peter, as an example, has a very good reason for continuing with it.

Agreed Andy,

I'm still hoping that Mark is working on a dropbox button - its all gone a bit quiet on that front.

Not had chance to look Bob, work was insane last week. I'm working on my planning application tonight but will make some time to look for the dropbox button code this week (not that it will speed the pictures up any…).

Thanks for still looking into it, If I get chance I will try and post some photos from Dropbox tomorrow night. I haven't noticed the rotation issue as yet.
