No danger of that Rob. The last time I handled a no 5 would have been 50 plus years ago at school. I find the weight of a no 4 more than adequate to keep the shop door propped open on warm days! :lol:

Indeed. I've made 3 tables and foot stool this year and could have done with this insight!

Memo to self next time
"buy leg timber > sqrt 2 (=1.5)times thicker than apparently necessary to allow for cutting diagonally if needed."

My current "legged" project will be painted so no need to heed the advice this time.
