The Physics of Making Guitars.

Postby Malc2098 » 01 Jun 2020, 13:14

I was pleased to see there is interest not only in my Martin Guitar Kit build but also the physics behind what the different components of a guitar are for and how they affect the sound of the instrument.

This video is just over an hour long and the presenter is a physicist turned luthier who explains how a guitar is made with physics in mind.

And at about 30m in, he answers Bob 9F's question as to why the back and top are domed. :)

So, get yourself a glass, fill it with your preferred tipple, sit back and enjoy, 'cos I did, the physics of guitar making,
