Out of Town - Jack Hargreaves

I've just stumbled across this YT channel I think it's made by the original producer of the OoT programme (or was it Old Country?)

From what I can find out, he is trying to digitise the original 16mm films of the programme. I hope he can continue, because I used to love watching it. I have some old VCRs of it.

But anyway, grab a cuppa, glass of wine or a beer and unwind for 24 minutes first watching a cooper at work using his hand tools.

Southern TV programmes, those were the days.

He was quite a character, I wonder where the Museum mentioned is?

I wonder if it's at the Heritage Centre at Lyndhurst?

I’ve parked outside it on numerous occasions and never been inside - must give it a try.

Very nice. I could only find one or two others in the series, though, which is a pity. The fishing rod one was a bit long winded for me.

I had no ever seen any before coming across them myself on YouTube. Great to watch and reminds me of days fishing with my dad who passed many years ago.

I remember watching this when I was a kid with my Dad, used to love it. My dad was a bit of a savant when it came to practical skills.

Time for another cuppa and a watch and learn.

I miss fishing course rivers. Down here, there are hardly any.

I’ve watched a couple recently, I liked the one on Jack comparing fishing rod materials.
