Hand Made Files

I follow this man Clickspring as he has produced a series of really excellent quality videos on a clock I'm making.

This is part of his Antikythera series in which he experiments in making hand made files of the type used to make the Ancient Greek device.

We haven't seen an update on your clock for ages Rod. How is it going?
I do not think therefore I do not am.

Not very fast Andy
2014 Scans, tests Surgery x2
2015 rebuilding shed to sort workshop out.
2016 Scans, tests, Chemo and Radiotheraphy
2017 Surgery, banned from doing much especially lifting. Gradually catching up with things, still to finish tidying up the workshop and then hopefully get back to making things again.

Fully understand Rod. I had imagined that clock making was a little more easier physically than some other tasks.
Hope you are making good progress health wise.

Yes thanks - just Scans and bloods every 4 months now and the odd clinic visit to keep an eye on things.
Very grateful for living where we are as Southampton is the only hospital in the uk who can carry out the surgery and procedure I had. Over £100k's worth on the NHS!
My workshop never recovered from storing a lot of my parents stuff when my mother died.
My father was a keen wood mangler so boxes and boxes of tools etc to sort. He also had a lot of my Grandfathers stuff too.
