Kity spindle moulder strange sound

Here's the place to talk about all your table saws, bandsaws, routers and dust extractors. In fact anything that makes noise and uses electrickery.

Kity spindle moulder strange sound

My Kity has started to make a strange sound partway through spinning up. You can hear it here at about 3 seconds in. The belt between motor and drive shaft seems tight.

Let me know if the audio format isn't playable and I'll see if I can convert it.

Ah, you can access it OK, at least ?

Can you please try deleting the .gpp extension and try that?

EDIT: I've removed the .gp and so it should now work.

Yes - that is correct.

Just got in from the workshop and have worked out what the problem is

I'd not had quite enough spacers under the top nut ...only needed a few thou..but enough that although the bolt was down tight the cutter block wasn't. I'm surprised that it still cut but it did.

Now fixed, thanks.
