Is Cyclone Central still up and running?

Here's the place to talk about all your table saws, bandsaws, routers and dust extractors. In fact anything that makes noise and uses electrickery.

Is Cyclone Central still up and running?

Postby Wizard9999 » 14 Sep 2015, 14:36

Now I have my extractor I have been casting my eye around to look at cyclone options. I remembered several people on here had got there's from Cyclone Central, but when I looked every single item in the store is out of stock, which gives me the impression that they may well have stopped operating.

I think the chap who was running it was going back to university, so he may of put production on hold.

Thanks Dave, well it is one less option to have to consider, which given my tendency to prevarication is probably a good thing  .

He is a member here - "Chems" although I have found him very slow to respond to PMs in the past.

Andy P has one of his cyclones if you want independent opinion or make your own from plans on Bill Pentz website.

Can't remember what I wrote but I am very satisfied. I know that Chems does not hold many cyclones for stock, and he does a manufacturing batch 2 or 3 times a year. Drop him a PM both here and on UKW as well as email.

I have the luxury of having the camvac (twin motor) and the cyclone outside the workshop so I know there is no dust coming back in. Although the workshop does get dusty for other reasons.

If I can help at all please don't hesitate.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers

I've got one too, it's brilliant. I have a clear plastic bag on the extractor so I can see how much gets past the cyclone, there is perhaps a 2cm layer of fine dust in the bottom of the bag after nearly 2yrs of fairly heavy use.
Cheers !
