Wixey wr700

Here's the place to talk about all your table saws, bandsaws, routers and dust extractors. In fact anything that makes noise and uses electrickery.

So i got hold of a wixey wr700 second hand was a bit nervous as the SIP 01332 isnt on the list of table saws it fits but after looking at the manual and some videos l took a punt

Fitting was simple just needed some m5 nuts washers and bolts to make it fit my extrusion on the fence

So all fitted and tested and i can change it to whatever setting and test with a vernier and the setting and the vernier are bob on the same

Very happy my guess is it will fit the ITECH too ImageImageImageImageImageImage

It won't make your woodworking any more accurate. Personally I think these gadgets get one into the wrong mindset when woodworking. Chippendale didn't have one and he did all right ! 8-)

Dont think he had a table saw either lol

I was dubious too but ive done 50 test cuts now at different sizes and evwryone was bob on

I will check it regularly but so far so good

And if it doesnt make me more accurate but helps me make less mistakes its worth it

Also being an electrical engineer by trade i cant resist a gadget lol

Mr. C may have done. The Georgians certainly had some very crude, hand or foot powered machines and a small table saw may have been part of the workshop, but as it's completely disappeared (somewhere in the back streets behind St. Martin-in-the-Fields) it's difficult to know for certain - Rob

I see they now do one that can be controlled from a mobile phone. Can you imagine the benefit of standing at the other side of the workshop and knowing what the angle of the dangle is on your table store. I want one.

Utter lunacy. Is this what humanity has come down to ? Can't those brains dreaming up these pointless gadgets be used on more creative ventures that will benefit society ?
