Interesting build of a oscillating spindle sander.

Seems to work remarkably well despite being a bit crude in places. Getting that slide mechanism smooth would have been no mean feat. :eusa-clap:

Steel running in brass bushes is a fairly good combination and should last quite well. Windscreen wiper motors normally outlast the vehicle.

He is obviously a handy bloke and so would hopefully spot issues and fix 'em ok.

Bob I agree as you say the components used are good. I would say the weakness is the cam on the end of the wiper motor which is ply. Very clever to design and build, but if you think about the build quality on alot of modern bobbin sanders which are no better.

I just worry about the drill press table :shock:
