Bit disappointing nothing needed welding or making from scratch ;)

Still enjoying seeing the progress even if it is unusually rapid :)

Back when I was in business we investigated the fish eye problem. We contaminated and then painted a lot of sample pieces to try and find what caused the fish eyes. Never did find a definitive answer. We did prove that certain hand creams would do it even after degreasing so that was banned among metal shop and paint shop staff.

Rob you will be pleased to here I have another MF that I bought before this one. The dealer said it was a bit rusty but the motors worked and it just needed a clean. Well he lied his ass off, the motors were seized solid the ways were pitted and everything is locked up. Just to round things off it fell over in transit because the stupid man put it on a pallet not much bigger than its footprint. It is borderline scrap but I might try and save it.

A bit more done, before it gets too heavy for my roof joists, its time to put it on a decent reinforced pallet.

I've been trying a new blackening product which seems to be the same as the little bottles of gun blue but you get much more for your money.

Amazing as ever. But with that brass casing it looks particularly good.
