Just before we lost the Woodhaven One , there was a thread about rust removal by electrolysis and other ideas . Would it be possible to repeat those threads ? . I got the jist , but I think it would be a very useful to have a re-cap together with other ideas . ( i.e. if vinegar works etc ...) .
I am ashamed to admit that my lovely old Myford ML8 has been stood on its end for " a long while " whilst awaiting restoration . The four-jaw chuck was left on it and has a film of rust . So I am wondering whether to use electrolysis on the whole thing , ( the chuck I mean ) or whether to dismantle it during the process .
Ashamed of Southampton .
