A fun Clock

Postby Dalboy » 18 Jun 2015, 20:28

I had some time on my hands so I thought I would clown around.

Made from bits and pieces that I had laying around (I don't throw anything away) It is 12" tall

Brilliant!...........apart from the clock face. It's just the wrong style for such a fun piece.

Does it stand up OK?

:eusa-clap:

Haha, I like that a lot, but agree with Mike that the face looks a little too trad, but doesn't spoil it.

Though I can't get out of my mind that without the hat, face and bow ties it looks a little like a cockenballs…!

I need to order some more clocks as this was the only style I had but agree it needs one with Arabic numbers. It does stand very well

I had the page scrolled so the clock was off the top of the page as I read your comment and have to agree :)

All adds to the fun of it.

And yes it does need a comic font at least on the clock.

Nice piece.

Oh yes very clever and appealing.
Do you leave a hole behind the clock so that it can be easily pushed out to replace the batteries?
I do not think therefore I do not am.

It is a blind hole but the clock can be taken out quite easy by hooking a nail under the edge

Fabulous imagination Derek and a great lesson in how to use up those apparently too small to be useful off cuts that no one can bear to throw away
