Pen & platter

Postby Doug » 20 Dec 2016, 22:49

A chap got in touch with me a little while ago asking if I wanted some Box wood & Walnut, he contacted me via UKW having seen articles I'd written in the Woodworker.
As he didn't want anything for the wood I turned a Boxwood pen & Walnut platter which I took over to him last week.

Cheers.

Looks good Doug.

The timber reminds me of some pieces I was given many years ago. They called it 'black wood'?
I made 3 serviette holders.

Nice pieces both Doug. I do like all this sharing and reciprocation, warms the heart a little to all the other carp going on in the world right now. :text-bravo:

Thanks for the comments.

I agree Mark, the news of late has been fairly dire.

You are not the only one Andy.

Nice looking platter and pen Doug. The walnut looks great for the platter
