A small Bowl in Birch Ply with an Elm rim. Pictured with my new assistant "Chip" to show scale. :D

Wow that is small!

Nicely done. How does the end grain of the ply react to turning?

Cheers

Clever. At what point did you add the elm rim?
I do not think therefore I do not am.

The Bowl is roughly turned first then a disc of wood is glued in place to form the rim.

The ply doesn't turn too bad but needs a bit more sanding to get a decent finish. Any small voids need to be filled with super glue/wood dust.

My missus bought these years ago.

I'm still trying to get my head round how they were glued up before they were turned.

But they look good. She has two of them.
