My wife and I have already filled the garage and now I'm trying to fit a workshop in!

Well done Matt. I am sure you can see how to improve for the next one but you should nonetheless be proud of that.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers

A great bowl. At least it is not dog bowl shaped which many new to turning go for. The only thing I will say is that with a made up blank like kitchen worktop I would have gone for a tenon rather than a recess as you don't know what the joint is like.

Thanks everyone - really pleased with it :eusa-dance:

I didn't think about the bond strength of the work tope when using the recess. I did try a tenon today but not sure I like it hen done. Does one normally trim it off after, if so how do you do it neatly?

Following on from that one I tried two other things, one more of a small platter / candle holder and a tea light holder. Should I be looking at bigger holes and using glass or metal tea light holders?

I have no idea quite what to do with my garage to get everything in

I would love to have a workshop the size of a garage but I think the wife would fill most of it

Matt, all the ones I have made over the years were sized for the 38mm metal holder.

When given away I always give the person safety instructions.

I will try some glass holders when I can get back in the workshop.

This guy has double standards.

Uses hearing protection on the router but not on the thicknesser or saw ............. :o

Not setting a good example.
