Good little video, It looks like you are gluing onto end grain if so you would have got a better grip in cross grain and the ring blank looked like it had paper on it which is easy to pull off.
That is what it looked like and I could be wrong which is what I usualy am especially when talking to the wife :lol: .

At the end you managed to get a very nice ring from it

It's not my work, I just happened to see it on YouTube. :D I too liked the "warts and all" presentation and thought it would be of interest.

I've lost larger pieces than that when they have spun off the lathe. He did well to recover it.

Great work. A project I'm looking forward to taking up my newbie skills are not ready for such delicate work at the minute ( I have tried ) and ruined quite a few pieces of ebony so put that to the side until my skills are more refined
