The tools are very different to western ones and probably difficult to sharpen.

I'm sure Sorby or Axminster would come up with something exorbitantly expensive if there was enough demand... :mrgreen:

That was another interesting vid on alternative turning techniques. I notice he was turning in the 'wrong' direction half of the time. He keeps his rest a good way away from the work. That needs a precise touch. Must be interesting while you're learning - catches would be quite scary.
