Plane Bowl

Postby Dalboy » 27 May 2017, 16:20

My first piece of proper turning for a while I spent just under an hour in there and it was cool enough to go into the shed this morning so decided to turn one of my London Plane blanks that I have the finished bowl is 8 3/4" X 1 3/4"

Just a play on words Andy. The shape is just the way I took the photo making it look oval

I know bloody photobucket and they want so much so you can post of forums.

Sorry but will not be reposting pictures as there are so many I have posted it would take ages. Not only that but unless any forums let me download from my computer then the likelihood of any more pictures is unlikely on those and I am definitely not paying what they want $399.99 a year so I can post

Not leaving just the photo side of things look forward to seeing what can be done. But I certainly will not be using any other photo sharing site in case they go the same way as Photobucket.

I transfer all my photos to my PC and then to an external HD and to my Mac and again to another external drive.
The Mac automatically sends them to other Apple devices and the iCloud.
Similarly photos taken on my iPhone are transferred through the ether, that way too.
I've recently joined Flickr and Imgur and all the current photos on my phone (about 2000) have been uploaded. They are also residing in Googlephotos and Primephotos for good measure. Other sites seem to have a free limit of 5Gbs and my 2000 are 7.5Gbs so would have to pay.
For photos I'm likely to post I upload to ImageShack which I can use in two ways. The first online with my PC or Mac using the forum links and secondly downloading photos from ImageShack to my phone then using Tapatalk to post. As most of the photos are already on my phone I generally use Tapatalk which posts photos directly.

The problem of the auto upload of photo's to thee type of sites are no good to me as i take so many especially when I am making some of my wooden models as I find it fills up so much space the limit is reached so quickly.
I also save to an external drive and a good job I got mine when I did just after downloading all of the files and photo's my computer crashed big time. Managed to get the computer all running again but everything on it was lost.
