Close shave

Postby Dalboy » 05 Mar 2018, 12:27

I had a couple of these razor kits and this was the last one and we all know how much refills for the razors are to buy well with a pack of 10 blades costing just £2 for this one I decided this was going to be for me. Yes I am a skinflint. The other option was to grow a beard

The handle is one of my own cast blanks

Also very nice.

Even with a beard there is some trimming with a razor. I just use disposables.

Nice

I use DE blades using an adjustable Gillette “Slim” which I bought in the 60’s and put away.
These are now highly regarded and can fetch £175.
One favourite blade is a Personna Platinum at 20p each.

Very nice. I also use a double edge, buy Feather blades in a bulk box.

Love the idea of a double edged and no waste but a knife near my throat before a cup of coffee seems like a bad idea!
