What would you do with this? Finished

The place to find and post anything related to the world of spinning wood at ridiculously high speeds!

For the bulge I would just wrap a piece of sandpaper around a block of wood and sand it down. The other split where you only used one plug I feel should have a couple more as it looks wrong with just the one. Having said all of that it does look good and as if it was part of the design rather than a repair :eusa-clap: :eusa-clap: :eusa-clap:

Thanks Bob,
Darn you for suggesting I add an extra couple of holes. I thought I had finished with drilling and plugging. You are right though.

Woke up in the middle of the night with a solution for the base. I had not mentioned this before but it is not flat and it is far to big to get any sort of reverse chucking solution. There is less than 1/2" gap between the bowl and lathe bed.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers

Thanks Derek. I rather like the feet. When it is on the table you can see it is raised but you cannot see the feet. Having three feet also means it wont rock on an uneven surface.

I remembered but I think it looks awful. I like the idea of merging by initials together but doing it freehand is not good.

I reckon you need a bit more of an artyfarty flourish to your initials, then it would look fine. It also currently reads AP Beech on the bowl...relative? - Rob
