Oak Bowl

Off to see my bro' and the end of the month and I asked if his new 'better half' would like a fruit bowl. ''Yes please'' so here's the latest effort from the 'Dark Side'. Made in Euro Oak hacked off a very large board bought from Yandles a couple of years ago.

Yep, this chunk developed a split on the lhs so I filled it with a good dollop of epoxy and sanded it down. Seems to be holding - Rob

Thanks Andy; the pyro tool is my preferred method now for signing work but it definitely requires a bit of practice to use effectively - Rob

It's good stuff but this was kilned to start with so pretty hard going. Fortunately, the final shaping was done with a scraper similar to this bad boy and then sanded with a Flexipad sander from the old firm - Rob
