Jigs for turning

Postby Dalboy » 02 Aug 2019, 16:52

I am starting another turning project and realised that I need some way of holding a sphere so that I can hollow them. If the wood was large enough I could have hollowed after turning the outside.
Anyway around the problem is a doughnut jig, while I am at it some kind gentleman from this forum made me a couple of bits for another project so I completed that one as well.
The small doughnut jig.

I made a 14” Donut chuck a few months back for finishing the bottom of bowls. I’ll probably never use the Cole jaws for my chuck again.

I also intend to make a large one but this is ideal for some small projects. I also am going to make a steady as well for steadying taller pieces
