Crackers

Postby Andyp » 02 Dec 2019, 15:54

I've spent ages on these, well not actualy on these two but the four other failures. Months ago when I first bought the tap and die I did a test in some cherry which produced some perfect female threads. So I preceeded to make 4 "rings". The last process of which is to tap the threads. Every one refused to cut a thread
So I am left with one in lignum vitae and one in yew. I will be making some more in yew soon I hope.

I do not think therefore I do not am.

You are crackers Andy. Nice job put me down as another mixed results with the threading set I tried apple and got a good male thread and a terrible female thread.

So you are not alone as you can see the male thread looks OK
