Compound Cut Christmas Tree Decoration

I fired up the ole Hegner and relentlessly abused a bit of B&Qs finest banana pine.

Eventually it yielded up a Christmas tree decoration

It should look okay once it's tidied up a bit. Now, where did the removal men hide my needle files...

They seem to be stored on farcebook - don't know if the forum softwsre can cope with that Andy.

Ah Yes, I forgot as a mod I could edit and see the links.

Facebook is telling me this if I follow the link.

I can never get farcebook to work for me. None of the clickable links work for some strange reason.
But it seems in order to do anything or see anything you have to login. If that is true then the forum software would not be able to look anything up anyway.

OK I have run a test Bob, Checkout Private Parts and let me know.

I did not sign into facebook but did view the BBC R2 page and copied the image location of the selected image and then pasted it between the Img tags. Seems to work.

Gill, let me know what you did with the images above and I'll try to sort it out.

Sorry the photos didn't make it. I'm a bit of a novice with the tablet I'm using. Hopefully, these turn out better.

Nope, something definitely worn with those picture links. I copied one into the address bar and it doesn't load…

Cheers

No lets see if I can explain how I did it.

I copied the URL into Firefox Address bar. This then opens up Google Photos with a small version of the image. I then clicked on the image which opened up a larger version also in Google Photos where I could Right Click and select View Image Info. I then copied the image location and pasted between the Img tags.

Hope this helps Gill.

How on earth do you do that??? I have never seen any output from a scroll saw but had not expected a 3D decoration, very clever!

Terry.

The decoration is looking good can't wait to see it all cleaned up and hanging.

Somewhere in all of my files I have a few patterns for these which like so many things I keep promising to make but end up doing something else.

In other words a long to do list that does not get any shorter

Thanks for sorting out the photos, Andy :eusa-clap: .

Terry, you simply take a square bit of 35mm stock and attach a pattern to it which is designed so that when you can rotate the stock through 90 degrees and cut straight through. It's easier to demonstrate with photos than it is to explain in writing. Next time I make one, I'll produce a step-by-step post with lots of photos (get ready, Andy  ) to show you how it's done.
