Sausage Dog

This is where we don't want anything but evidence of your finest wood butchering in all its glorious, and photograph laden glory. Bring your finished products or WIP's, we love them all, so long as there's pictures, and plenty of 'em!

Sausage Dog

Postby Dalboy » 25 Mar 2016, 17:15

I have just finished this dog.

I enjoy using the scroll saw but just don't get around to doing much. However this is the second piece of Intarsia that I have produced on the scroll saw as i normally do thin stuff.

This is for my sister to give to my niece

Woods used Sapele, Holly and Oak

I'm not a big fan of scrolling normally, but that is rather nice.

Not a lover of cartoon characters, but that is very nice workmanship.

Think its all the curves that make this stand out. must have taken a lot of time and been quite fiddly.

Very nice.

I like that a lot. The little carving bits give it real depth and definition.

What I meant was will it hang on the wall? Or framed? or is it thick enough to stand up on it's own? And I would still like to know the size.
