Twin Screw Dovetail Vice

This is where we don't want anything but evidence of your finest wood butchering in all its glorious, and photograph laden glory. Bring your finished products or WIP's, we love them all, so long as there's pictures, and plenty of 'em!

Here's another little project just completed, which is going to be a big asset for making the wide drawers on my Makebloke chest of drawers:

Very nice Roberto.

Many moons ago I bought, from RogerS I think… a Veritas double handle vice kit which when I ever build a shop will be put on at the full width of my bench for this very reason. Well not necessarily drawers but those and anything wide.

Interesting use of Vaseline Rob, I just rub mine with a candle. :D

If one's dog holes were close enough to the edge of the bench and the rear block was wide enough I guess that this could be held down with holdfasts.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

Twin Screw Dovetail Vice

Postby TrimTheKing » 24 Jun 2016, 14:45

Basically had a very stressful few weeks/months for various reasons, culminating in me probably having to re-apply for my job (or one similar) in the next couple of weeks, so it's been low on the list.

I've decided to screw everything else and focus on what's best for me and the family and for me it's getting back to normality, so I've just bought a 2nd hand Kango from ebay which arrives Monday, and breaking up the old slab starts next weekend.

Builder is booked in to throw up the brickwork 1st 2 weeks in September, so expect to see activity from me between now and then to break slab, dig and pour footings/slab, lay up to DPM courses then wait for builder.

Sorry to hijack Rob.
