Stairs

This is where we don't want anything but evidence of your finest wood butchering in all its glorious, and photograph laden glory. Bring your finished products or WIP's, we love them all, so long as there's pictures, and plenty of 'em!

Stairs

Not posted anything for a while as its been the usual Christmas rush

This one turned out to be the last job before the Xmas break an Oak banister, newel & spindles,

I'd done the prep work 6 weeks ago but had had to wait for the plasterer & decorator to get finished.

This was the original as it was done when the house was built with what looked like the pallets the bricks came on :?

Both sides of the stud work were covered in birch faced ply which had been papered with wood chip

After altering the stud work I plaster boarded all the remaining wall & fitted temporary wooden plaster edge stops & handrail

Finally got to finish off today

Time for the festivities to begin, Merry Xmas :obscene-drinkingbuddies:

Much better.

You couldn't just prise off those exposed carpet grippers from the risers, could you, before someone has their christmas ruined by the lethal little buggers? They're evil.

Thanks for the comments.

The carpet has long gone Rod the first photos were taken in October though they left it to late to get a new one fitted before the new year.
I to hate those grippers Mike but thankfully they were nothing to do with me & I managed to evade their spikes

Indeed . Thanks for sharing. I went to house today, 70s built at a guess, and there was no newel post. It looked most odd.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

Quite a facelift their Doug. Customers must be over the moon with the transformation, I know I would be.
