Corner desk

This is where we don't want anything but evidence of your finest wood butchering in all its glorious, and photograph laden glory. Bring your finished products or WIP's, we love them all, so long as there's pictures, and plenty of 'em!

Corner desk

Postby Jimmy Mack » 14 Mar 2017, 09:33

A desk made up in January, (shared some of the veneering shots recently). I've been waiting for the carpet fitters to finish off the new owner's office.

Hopefully I can remember how it all went together...as today, is our big day!

It is your steam driven computer running DOS V0.0.0 in machine code mode with a Pascal translator

Laptop on W7 - no issues.

Good luck with the installation Jimmy.

Phew!...What a day getting it in...especially with Mrs Mack dropping the nursery runs on me last night!

Here she is, one corner desk to match some previous cabinetry....don't mention the cable mess!...it's got nothing to do with me ...there's routers, Hives, a Sonus and all sorts in the tangle!

My knees loved the new carpet and underlay!

For those interested in the rest...Here's the matching book-casing and cabinetry ...installed nearly two years ago!...(pretty laid back customers!)

Hi Rod,

The end panels with legs are domino'd along the top edge into the desk (dry/location only). The RHS leg end panel is fixed to the drawer pack which in turn is screw fixed up into the desk. The corner cupboard is screw fixed up into the desk. The LHS leg/endpanel is also domino'd (dry) and held in place by snazzy, custom Walnut 'Modesty Blocks' :eusa-dance: to the underside.

To stop it spreading, this LHS leg panel is tied at the back to the corner cabinet by an apron which slots in place with a system I've fashioned out of 'KEKU' panel clips and some screws...(you can just about see it in one of the photos).

I think that's about it :eusa-think:

Who are your target customers Bob? Before you give yourself lots of work likely renters might actually like that kind of thing.
