Scabby Old Black Wood

This is where we don't want anything but evidence of your finest wood butchering in all its glorious, and photograph laden glory. Bring your finished products or WIP's, we love them all, so long as there's pictures, and plenty of 'em!

You are a tease Rob. Where did you get and and more importantly what are you going to do with it?
I do not think therefore I do not am.

Dunno what's going to happen to it at the 'mo. SWIMBO says that she wants something out of it so I'm awaiting a decision and I'll use a bit of it for a posh cufflink box with a lining in Holly. Other than that, it's just nice to have it in stock. I used some Roman bog oak (2000yo) for some bits and pieces on The Corbridge Cabinet posted recently and that sort of whetted my appetite to get a bit more. Although you can't see it, there's all sorts here; jet black, stripy stuff and it's all dead quarter sawn so it'll look fantastic once planed and polished.
I also got a M42 blade for the big bandsaw as a lot of it is so hard (especially the middle board  ) I needed something fairly heavy duty to chomp through it - Rob
