Pen & box

Postby Doug » 01 Oct 2017, 21:25

Turned a pen for a mate who has felled & milled a load of timber for me, he’s a big Festool fan so I’m hoping he will like this green & black acrylic blank, I figured it would look better in a box so made one from Cherry with Ebony details

Very nice indeed. Do you make your blanks as well like I think Derek does?
I do not think therefore I do not am.

Thanks for the comments.

I’d like to have a go at making blanks Andy & had hoped as a return favour to try my hand at it with a chap who casts them, but as often happens with favours it wasn’t reciprocated. I still fancy trying though, from what I’ve read I probably have most of the gear I’d need it would just be the resin & colours I’d have to buy.

That said for the amount of free time I’m getting at the moment it won’t be happening soon
