Mirror, cube, shelf.

This is where we don't want anything but evidence of your finest wood butchering in all its glorious, and photograph laden glory. Bring your finished products or WIP's, we love them all, so long as there's pictures, and plenty of 'em!

Mirror, cube, shelf.

I love this simple little design (unknown)...

...so, last Friday I made one similar for my buddy's birthday and one for Mrs Jim.

I like it too Jim. Those angle joints look critical to get right.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers

I love the apparent simplicity of the design, but I can see like all things simple, the proportions and angles are critical. I like!

Nice. Difficult to tell from the original but I’d have preferred the mirror just set in from front face rather than at the back. Still love it though!

Thanks folks.

It's well worth a go, and not as tricky as it looks. A good way to use up off-cuts.

All cut on the mitre saw, with the bulk of the cuts at 30 degrees. The edges (solid oak) are grooved for the back panel (9mm Oak veneer) these edges are PVA glued (and mitre-mate 'd) round the hexagon, the orange is 2mm HP laminate/ Formica (could be painted, patterned paper), the mirror is acrylic. Oil finish.

Fun little project.
